You must minimally hold an Accounting Degree with 2–3 years’ experience in a similar creditors or accounts payable role, preferably within the property sector. Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience working with MDA Property Manager will be advantageous.
The role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who can assist in overseeing the creditors function, review expense capturing reports, manage creditor reconciliations, supplier age analysis, bank reconciliation reviews, and accrual preparation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for utility bill reconciliations, maintaining the B-BBEE procurement schedule, and analysing expenses versus recoveries.
You will liaise regularly with operations, procurement teams, suppliers, and the City of Cape Town regarding council account queries, while also assisting management with audit queries and financial reporting support. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
