Accountant Requirements:
You must minimally carry a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 2–3 years of experience in accounting or property management. A professional certification (CA/ACCA) will be advantageous. You must have a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include the monthly review of Profit and Loss statements, general ledger analysis and journal processing, municipal reconciliation updates, escalation of financial variances and queries, preparation and release of management reports, intercompany journals and fixed asset reconciliations, assistance with annual budget preparation, capturing and maintaining client, vendor and creditor information, processing purchase orders and petty cash tracking, VAT, Tax and EMP201 submissions, audit preparation, follow-ups and AFS scrutiny, debtor adjustments and billing updates (water and electricity), as well as loading payments and transfers.
