Commercial Manager – Zambia

We're seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to drive commercial excellence on a major infrastructure project in Zambia, managing contracts, claims, and cost control across large-scale earthworks operations.

About the Role

As Commercial Manager, you'll take ownership of all commercial aspects of a significant infrastructure project, ensuring compliance with contract terms, managing variations and claims, and maintaining healthy commercial relationships with clients and contractors. You'll work with large earthworks portfolios, oversee contract administration, manage budgets, and ensure projects remain profitable whilst delivering quality outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership position where your commercial acumen directly impacts project success.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (minimum qualification)
• At least 5 years' experience as a Commercial Manager on large infrastructure projects
• Proven track record managing earthworks contracts and operations
• Solid, practical knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills
• Ability to manage claims, variations, and contract administration
• Experience working in sub-Saharan Africa is advantageous
