Regional Leasing Consultant – Johannesburg

We're seeking an experienced and driven Leasing Consultant to source, pursue and close commercial leasing opportunities across our Johannesburg portfolio.

About the Role

This is a deal-focused, externally-facing position where you'll take ownership of leasing opportunities to maximise occupancy and identify new business prospects. Working closely with our office-based leasing administrator, you'll be responsible for:

• Sourcing and converting leasing opportunities through cold calling, networking, advertising and social media
• Building and nurturing long-term relationships with key broker contacts and tenant networks
• Negotiating and concluding lease agreements with new and existing brands to deliver the best financial outcomes
• Improving the portfolio lease profile by targeting suitable tenants, longer lease terms and stronger covenant quality
• Providing market feedback, vacancy insights and lead intelligence to support marketing initiatives
• Liaising regularly with property brokers and leasing agents to market and advertise available space

Requirements

• 5–7 years' experience in commercial leasing, with exposure to retail, office and industrial properties
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Property Studies or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Established network of tenants, brokers and property professionals, with genuine passion for relationship building
• Confident negotiator with strong follow-through, time management and communication skills
• Prompt feedback provider who keeps all relevant parties informed
• Comfortable with technology and open to leveraging AI or automation tools for prospecting, follow-up and deal tracking
