Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and lead critical subsurface investigations and foundation design projects across South Africa's most challenging infrastructure developments.

About the Role

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive geotechnical assessments, interpreting subsurface data, and providing expert foundation design recommendations for structures and bridges. You will manage both shallow and deep drilling investigations, ensuring compliance with professional engineering standards and delivering solutions that meet project-specific requirements. Your expertise will be integral to the success of complex construction and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Professional registration as PrTech or PrEng with ECSA
• BTech, BSc, or BEng in Civil Engineering or higher qualification
• Current CR13(1)(a) classification (Excavation Supervisor) or equivalent
• Minimum three (3) completed projects demonstrating proven experience in geotechnical investigations
• Demonstrated competency in shallow subsurface investigations and deep drilling investigations for structure and bridge foundations
• Strong track record in geotechnical assessment, data interpretation, and foundation design recommendations
• Ability to provide signed geotechnical report cover pages and relevant project extracts as proof of experience
• Reference letters from clients confirming satisfactory completion of geotechnical investigations on cited projects
