Operations Manager – Cape Town

We're looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of property operations and drive excellence across facilities management in Cape Town.

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our property operations, ensuring all facilities meet strict maintenance and safety standards. You'll conduct regular inspections across the premises—from common area lighting and HVAC systems to electrical transformers and perimeter fencing—and submit comprehensive annual inspection reports for critical equipment including generators and fire systems.

You'll coordinate routine servicing for gutters, windows, roller shutters, and air conditioning systems to identify faults early and prevent costly downtime. Acting as the primary point of contact for tenants, you'll respond promptly to queries, complaints, and requests, maintaining strong relationships while upholding operational standards. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you'll keep leadership informed of building structures, operational issues, service delivery, and project progress. You'll also perform additional operational duties as required to meet landlord expectations.

Requirements

• Matric certificate required; a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or a related property qualification is highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of operational property experience in an Operations Manager or similar facilities role
• Sound understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards, relevant property laws, regulations, and local building codes
