About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join our client's dynamic team in Cape Town, providing specialist legal guidance across retail and property matters.

As a Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive legal support and strategic counsel to the business. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating complex legal issues, ensuring compliance, and protecting the organisation's interests across retail operations and property transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on retail and property-related matters
• Draft and review contracts and legal documentation
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all business operations
• Support due diligence processes for property acquisitions and transactions
• Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies
• Liaise with external legal counsel where necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail law or retail sector matters
• Substantial property law experience
• Strong knowledge of South African legal frameworks
• Excellent contract drafting and review skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters
• Strong communication and advisory skills
• Professional legal qualification and current good standing
